    Great to see this here, and makes me wonder if she doesn’t imagine herself back in the more rough and tumble time, though would wonder how many of the modern luxuries she might not want to give up? Like myself in the modern navy and thinking about being on a sailing ship, but would I want to subsist on hard tack instead of fresh food? Not likely lol.

      Hm. I took it as a bit more of a statement of her wanting the chair (in contrast to later Riker’s aversion to the captain’s chair).

      IMHO this is another clue that this story is a study in contrast of ethos between TOS vs TNG and personified by Reyes and Afshar respectively.
