    Um, there would still be pretty massive changes given the typical public reaction to assassinations vs dying of heart attack number 4. For a start, you can pretty much guarantee that whatever the most extreme, improbable idea she had was is about to get major political traction. She’s a martyr now.
    Seems like this still could be headed to the mirror universe…

      Not to mention the other people in the car who were killed, or any future history the car itself might otherwise have had (such as running over someone who might otherwise have been important ala Edith Keeler in City on the Edge of Forever). Unless Jin turns out to be full of shit, this is pure plot contrivance.

      Also, wouldn’t it have made more sense to have Jin’s rescuers be from one of far-future Starfleet’s Wells-class timeships, rather than these random silhouetted guys with the Ori Prior rods?
