I’m just starting to realize “Basis of Proof” was the 2016 presidential election. Except in real life the ship exploded with everyone on it.

    There are so, so many Star Trek plots that have suddenly become incredibly relevant in the modern era. If TNG were being made today people would be complaining about how it’s clubbing everyone over the head with metaphors for 2016.

      There are lots of people who complain about having their beliefs challenged. Many of them are the reason why fewer good comedians are pursing the college circuit.
