Happy 50th Birthday, Enterprise
Posted on September 8, 2016 by Mark Farinas

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of her first appearance on screen I’m finally posting the beauty shots I took of my 1/350 Enterprise model. These comps were created three years ago when I finished the model, but, for some reason, I never got around to posting them outside of the HobbyTalk forum where I shared my initial build-up experience. The resulting pictures were taken with an 18mm f/22 lens for sharpness from stem to stern. Each picture is a full size wallpaper, so click, download, and enjoy.

And, as a bonus for getting to the bottom of the post, here’s a video of the kid checking the model out.

She looks great, read your building posts.
I think I may have missed something.
Did you etch any grid / panel lines on the secondary hull or nacelles
or is the paint edge showing, either way it is a good look

I carved the lines on the nacelles, secondary hull, and neck. The ones on the primary hull came with the ship.

Your model shots certainly look better than the CG ones in the TOS remasters.

And the kid is getting big! I haven’t seen her in at least four years. That’s what, 50% of her life?

She’s three years older than in that video. Wow, has it been that long since frozen came out? Cause that’s practically all I was allowed to listen to while I was making that model.
