    Cool. A way for a superior in the Star Trek universe to show due respect to an educated professional while telling the subordinate to STFU. +1

      As we see, fobbing off your enlisted is a really dumb move.
      Atleast the Airforce kinda realises the whole “messee with techie = no flyee”.

      “Gee Captain I woulda told you yer plane was in the shop but I’m not permitted to speak without approval of the DivO.”

      The Chief Engineer’s tiny little hint of “My subordinate (who has a name) deserves a little respect for her knowledge,” was a nice touch, too.
