This Vulcan woman must shop for facial prosthetics at the same store as the late Dr. Thomas Leighton. Considering that she apparently knows Harry Mudd, I’m curious why she isn’t interested in getting an android body…or is the time-line for this episode too soon for that?

Scars don’t seem fixable in the 23rd Century. Witness not just Dr. Leighton but Veena and post accident Pike.

Vina was rebuilt like wobbly IKEA furniture by a race that had never seen humans before. Pike was maimed by radiation.
I’m quite sure more prosaic injuries like broken bones and lacerations can be healed without scars.
