Roddenberry called the anomaly that transported Voyager a “time continuum” in the novelization which is weirdly vague. I mean, a “continuum” is just a sequence of events or numbers. I don’t know how it transports things faster than light. But it’s a bit better than a “black hole” which just crushes and eats things.
