In a universe where human religion has faded away why include “atheist” on his combadge of all things?
I doubt every single human in Starfleet or on Earth is an atheist. Nothing is 100%. And we certainly know aliens who are still religious. They wear badges too.
Is that age range a year to a stardate, or something else? I assume he didn’t live to be 6749 years old.
(Or is it just his serial number, as in name/rank/etc.?)
