    I find it interesting that he specifically identified the source of the cellulose in the paper as being spruce, as opposed to some other tree or other plant. Or even as a single plant. Paper manufacturers often use a blend of pulp from different plants.

      Perhaps it implies drastic tracking avoidance measures beyond just the writing of physical notes. The paper might have had to be hand made, from manually sourced materials, as any sort of replication might have tipped tracking software off.
