The embryos…! Just some other embryos they shot up after the nurses, or the ones that ended up in Cold Station 12 later down the line, I wonder?
Poor people, on both sides. Especially the ones who got the worse end of the stick, Khan’s people and their supporters among the normal humans. At what point does someone sink low enough to order soldiers to shoot up a nursery/similar even as the nurses are body-blocking the embryos to protect them? 🙁
Sorry for the double-comment but I forgot to mention: kind of scary that even though Lydia rightfully feels bad for the nurses who wouldn’t move… She apparently doesn’t feel bad for whatever they did to the babies?! Hopefully it’s because the embryos were taken into custody or because she just thinks of them as tiny embryos in suspension and not specifically because she views them as less than if they had been normal humans. If it’s the latter, then it’s an added degree of horrible for her…
PTSD is truly a serious problem that society needs to accept and address. There are so many military veterans out there that need help. That said, in Lydia’s case, PTSD is absolutely no excuse for committing mutiple murders of civilians, and I have zero sympathy for her. I hope justice is coming her way.

Mark 19: a machine grenade launcher. And who just entered?
