    Whoever built that station can’t be too advanced. They’re still using centripetal force to generate gravity.

        In my initial script for this, which Mark beautifully realized in his art, I imagined this as being a mini-Ringworld… in orbit of this planet. I always thought Trek was lacking in amazing, awe-striking space structures — the Dyson Sphere not withstanding.

        But even then I felt the Sphere lacked imagination… it was just a huge Death Star, when some of the ideas proposed wouldn’t have had it as a complete enclosure. But 90s budgets and all!

        Heck, we don’t see a lot of orbital habitats around Earth in the 23-32nd Centuries. Guess all those space bros are wrong. 🙂
