Ryan and I have started a podcast! We are now the crew and compliment of a Ship Full of Jerks. You can find us on Apple Podcasts and Spotify every Tuesday. We’ll be commenting on the sci-fi and fantasy shows currently streaming. Right now we’re discussing Picard and The Mandolorian episodes as they come down the pike. We also do interviews, like one with Neil S. Bulk and Jeff Bond of LaLa Land Records about the music of Star Trek: The Original Series, and retro reviews, like our discussion of Babylon 5.
Now, you may be wondering, why would you want to add yet another nerd podcast to your subscribe list. Certainly there is no shortage of them. The reason is we are truly different. We may be jerks, but we’re honest ones. We’re the place your going to go to to get real discussion about the issues of what we discuss. We’re not mindless haters, but we’re also not salivating fanboys. And we certainly don’t nit pick. We want to get to the heart of what’s does and doesn’t work in the media we watch, from a media producer’s viewpoint. In just three episodes we’ve discussed:
• Mental health, drug use, and birth control in the 23rd and 25th century
• The effectiveness of torture
• 9/11 imagery in modern Trek
• TWOK as a template for so many Trek adventures
• Mando’s choice between found family and culture
• Several shows and albums of what’s exciting us each week
You may not agree with us, but you’ll always come away feeling what we’re critiquing is worth discussing. And we usually wrap it up in less than 30 minutes. No rambling, no filler, no talking about what we ate for breakfast. Just the straight, to the point, discussion.
And we also want to hear from you. Please let us know what you’d want us to talk about and who you’d like us to talk with.
So check it out. And please rate us. It goes such a long way for visibility. Thanks.

Catching up with this late. It’s excellent. You’re both bringing up darned good issues that didn’t occur to me while watching Picard.
